We have all played Flappy Birds, most of us with dramatic consequences, and Dot Heroes: Woop Woop Ninja seems to bring a similar experience to that particular game, although this time we control a small dot with a red headband that’s looking for the best score.
The mechanic in Dot Heroes: Woop Woop Ninja is very interesting because it also requires you to tap as many times as possible until you get the best results, although this time you have to deal with enemies that are placed near the walls, which makes the whole game experience even trickier.
Enemies can be killed though, with the help of shurikens, and this manages to enrich the experience quite a lot. The difficulty progression in this game is not made by the speed of your ninja nor the unpredictable walls that appear, but instead it comes from the monsters that are very hard to overcome as time passes, something that you will enjoy if you are into more challenging games.
Throwing shurikens is not that accurate, and you have to get the hang of it, but in the end this does manage to do a stellar job and you will like the results for sure.
It seems that Dot Heroes: Woop Woop Ninja seems to be planned as a trilogy, so another two titles will come in the series. How successful they will be, how will they manage to innovate and how different will they be when compared to this one it’s very hard to say, but only time will tell us!
