Monument Valley appeared a few months ago and it was one of the most interesting and original games released lately. However, along with that came some complaints from the user base which specifically said that the number of levels is simply too low and that they would like more tricky levels that would test their skills.
This is how the Monument Valley Forgotten Shores. The developers actively listened to the feedback and, once they gathered enough information in regards to what the player base wanted, they started implementing all of that into the game, with the sole purpose of giving new life to the title.
The expansion pack is what you would expect, it’s mainly a level package which doesn’t bring that many new interesting things, instead it just expand the game experience and it uses the same mechanics in order to make the title even better and stronger.
It’s interesting, widely amusing and it provides a wide range of unique and interesting new levels that we can explore at our own pace. We have to say that Monument Valley Forgotten Shores looks even better than the original and the new level design is simply astonishing.
How much content does the Monument Valley Forgotten Shores expansion really add? Unfortunately not as much as you would like, since it brings only a handful, 8 of them. Despite that, we have the opportunity to get back into the role of the wandering princess, the isometric perspective and everything that we loved about the game.
Sure, it might not be the best experience that you can have, but in the end successfully managed to provide one of the best and most unique gameplay that we had in the last few years, so the expansion is well worth a try, especially at its low price of 1.99$. It’s also important to state that the expansion comes as an in-alp purchase and it’s not a standalone, so you will need to get the original game in order to play it.
